The blanket was tested against EN 1869:2019 — the European standard for fire blankets — by SGS, an independent accredited laboratory. Every clause passed.
- No ignition of the blanket during the fire tests, on either side
- No visible flames and no re-ignition within 10 seconds after removal
- Pulls out of its container with 40 N and is ready for use in 4 seconds (standard allows up to 80 N and 4 s)
- Hand-holding webbing is self-extinguishing and does not detach during testing
- Each unit carries a batch number for traceability and is marked DISCARD AFTER USE
- Container shows at a glance whether the blanket is inside; annual inspection recommended
